40% Touriga Nacional / 30% Touriga Franca / 30% Tinta-Roriz - 13.5% abv.
A point of difference from the usual weighty Douro reds, this wine has well-balanced dark fruit, supple tannins and a nice long finish.
Fresh red fruit and plum aromas typical of the region. Hints of spice, black pepper and cloves as well as some balsamic. Well-integrated and firm tannins result in a wine of excellent structure and plenty of complexity and persistence.

90% Garnacha / 10% Bobal - 12.5% abv.
This wine is rustic in style, with a well-structured body and integrated tannins. The lick of Bobal elevates the spice and botanical element of the Garnacha. This wine stands up well to bold flavours and is a great wine to finish the evening off.
Nice, long oxidisation of the Garnacha brings forward the dark berry notes intertwined with violet and rosemary.

96% Pinot Noir / 3% Syrah / 1% Merlot - 12.5% abv.
I was blown away by this Pinot Noir from Phillip and Elvira Cox. This wine has great structure and a little bit more weight than your average Pinot. The touch of Syrah brings a little bit of spice and the Merlot rounds off the fruit. Using progressive techniques, they are producing very high-quality wines, that are finally getting the global recognition they deserve. This is the kind of winemaking we get very excited about!
Gorgeous flavours, almost syrupy in its concentration. Dark, rich and potent, with layers of black cherry, raspberry and cinnamon. Deep, with pretty fruit cake and spicy aromatics. A lovely long and lingering finish.

82% Syrah / 11% Grenache / 7% Others - 14.5% abv.
What a delight it was discovering this wine. It has an aromatic perfumed nose and is loaded with dark fruit on the palate, and a perfectly rounded finish, with enticing length. Every now and again you find a wine that hits all the notes and that is exactly where we are with the Qupé Syrah.
An immediately attractive deep purple colour leads into aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and coffee followed by a savoury palate with a spicy smoky character and refreshing acidity. The balanced alcohol gives the wine a suppleness that makes it an easy revisit.
